The Brahma Kumaris is the world’s largest spiritual organisation for men and women to be led by women. Open to all, it is independent of any political or religious affiliation with a network of over 4,500 centres in over 110 countries. It is a worldwide community of diverse individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life, from all religions, cultures and creeds, dedicated to a life of spiritual study, upliftment and personal transformation.
Leadership is shared by three spiritual elders: Dadi Ratanmohini who is based at the International Headquarters of The Brahma Kumaris in Mount Abu, Rajasthan, India; Mohini Didi who is based in New York, USA; and Sister Jayanti who spends a portion of her year at the International Headquarters but is otherwise based in London at the International Co-ordinating Office, Global Co-operation House, UK.
The Brahma Kumaris is an international non-governmental organisation of the United Nations, accredited with General Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). Sister Jayanti has been the organisation's representative to the UN in Geneva since 1982. She has brought spiritual principles to the discussion tables of politicians, economists, business leaders, scientists and nearly every stakeholder of our times.
Since 2009, Sister Jayanti has headed The Brahma Kumaris delegation to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (COP), and has spoken internationally on the link between consciousness and climate change.
